Alexandra Vurpillat

Born and raised in Peterborough, New Hampshire.  Graduated Academy de Notre Dame on Honor Roll and then from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business.  Left New Hampshire to begin a new career in Dallas, Texas.

As an Assistant Buyer with Titche Goettinger, now known as Foley’s. her education began heavily in regards to customer service.  After four years, she joined Holiday Inns Corporate Office as Assistant V.P. Sales.  Being a Gypsy at heart, and with a great love and desire for travel, after five years, she commissioned an 80 foot Trimaran yacht to be built in Whitstable, England.  She moved to England and two years later, with a crew of four,  launched the Xanadu Isle and sailed the Mediterranean for two years, visiting friends located in various parts of Europe, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece and Turkey. An opportunity to experience adventures that memories are made of and of which novels could be written.

Alex then sailed to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands and sailed down island, visiting all islands south of the Virgin Islands for another year.  At that point, she sold the boat and started a successful Pearl and Perfume store on the waterfront.   Four years later, Alex sold the store and returned to Dallas and  went to work for Carey International as V.P. Sales for ten years, successfully building their sales from a $650,000 dollar company to over six million in five years.  She became a strong member of MPI. HSMAI and PCMA, serving on several committees and then was voted in on the Board of Directors for a term of three years.

In 1996, based on the experience gained at Carey,  Alex started her own company which became a most successful and well-known Destination Management Company in Dallas, offering the finest in transportation, special events and custom tours.  Her company worked closely with FIFA, The Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau and well known corporations such as IBM, Dr Pepper – Seven Up, Pfizer, Merc, Verizon and Maritz Travel Companies to name a few.  As a Certified Female Enterprise, Alex worked very closely with EEM Custom Tours and Events to ensure that her clients would have the best in whatever meeting requirements they had during their conferences and conventions in Dallas. Having achieved her ten-year goal, she sold her firm and moved on.

Through these years,  Alex continued her long-term personal relationship with Carolyn Petty, owner of EEM Custom Tours & Events.  As Ms. Petty moved forward and became successful with Tax-Free Shopping in Texas, she suggested a new venture of EEM Luxury Shopping Tours and Executive Concierge.  Between the two companies, there is a level of client service and availability that no other company can offer International visitors to Dallas.  Sharing Carolyn’s love and enthusiasm for the ultimate customer service,  Alex has now joined Ms. Petty in forming the new division of Luxury Shopping Tours and Executive Concierge Services designed to increase tourism and travel to Dallas.
